Call For Abstracts
The CATE Conference Committee would like to invite abstract submissions to be considered for presentation at the CATE Conference 2010.
Abstract Submission Deadline now Extended to Monday 26 April 2010.
Information on Presenting
If you are selected to offer a presentation, you will be presenting on one of the following days:
- Wed 24 November
- Thurs 25 November
- Fri 26 November
You may choose to present in one of the following streams:
- Charting the Course - Career theory, practice and education.
- Know the Ropes - Innovative career development practice and tools.
- All Aboard - Integrating career education into the curriculum.
- Land Ahoy - Emerging trends, opportunities and innovation.
- Anchoring in a Safe Harbour - Providing first-class service for career practitioners.
Each session will be 55 minutes in duration (including a Q&A session). There are several presentation styles available for the conference. You will need to choose from:
- Lecture style,
- Interactive workshop,
- Panel Discussion,
- Other
Rules and Regulations when Submitting an Abstract
- Abstracts must be submitted by 5.00pm, 26th April 2010.
- Conference delegates who are also presenters must also pay the appropriate conference registration fee.
- Abstracts must be submitted using the provided template.
- All work/research must be original.
- Abstracts should be no longer than 300 words and written in English.
Instructions for Submitting an Abstract
- Complete your abstract using the template provided. Save your abstract to your desktop.
- Register your interest on-line. Please read the instructions carefully and complete each page as necessary.
- When requested, upload your previously saved abstract to the online process.
- Acknowledgement of your abstract will be automatically sent to you. If you do not receive an email confirmation within 24 hours, please contact James Chatterley at james@eventdynamics.co.nz.
Abstract Acceptance
A decision regarding your abstract will be emailed to you by mid May 2010. Presenter instructions will be sent to successful presenters.
